Job Description

Koch Foods is recruiting an experienced Hatchery Supervisor in Gadsden, AL. Koch Foods offers relocation assistance, competitive salary, many opportunities for growth, bonus potential and a robust benefit package. 

•       The Chick Master Supervisor will oversee all operations on the CM side

•       They will oversee all employees on the CM side

•       They will be responsible for making sure all operations start up in a timely manner

•       They will ensure that all positions are covered daily

•       They will monitor leads and hourly team members to ensure chick quality meets or exceeds set standards

•       They will be responsible for problem resolution and issuing disciplinary actions to team members after discussion with Assistant Hatchery Manager

•       They will coordinate with Assistant Hatcher Manager and Hatchery Manager regarding the daily operations and any changes that may be needed

•       They will work closely with the maintenance staff to correct/repair issues and conduct projects for their area

•       They will verify all documentation is correct and reported in a timely manner

•       They will verify that all team members are wearing the proper PPE for the designate area

•       They will perform a walk through and inspection of the hatchery every morning at start up to ensure sanitary standards are at or exceed set standards

•       They will visually check the airflow of the hatchery, temps, humidity, pressures, chick navels, overall chick quality.  Also conduct an evening walk through with Hatchery Manager/Assistant Hatchery Manager

•       The will be responsible for collecting all documentation at the end of the day. 

•       They will perform a walk through with the sanitation lead periodically to inspect the sanitation quality of the facility

•       They will ensure that audits are completed daily and are in compliance

•       They will participate in Zero Based Budge discussions and weekly hatchery meetings

•       They will be responsible for answering any questions of concerns on the Chick Master side of the Hatchery

•       They will be involved in employee evaluations

•       They will provide justification for costs of there are

•       They will coordinate with Hatchery Clerk for appointments with Hatchery Manager/Assistance Manager

Job Requirements



3-5 years Hatchery/poultry experience or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or Poultry Science
